shoes for Africa

In collaboration with the Green Team of IIUM, we are now collecting running shoes and school shoes to be donated to the children in Africa to support their love for running and help them flourish their talent. This also comes in line with our concert theme for this year which is charity.

Help us help them by donating your pre-loved shoes!

School Reopened.

Dearest Parents, you can stop holding your breath, school resumes on Wednesday. The girl is fine and she is also better. The school has been sanitized and is ready for your wonderful children.For further information,please do not hesitate to call the school or Teacher Lita.

Thermometers

Kinderland is going to start taking temperature, unfortunately we have only 2 thermometers..haiz...does anyone have an extra one lying around the house that you could donate?? PLEASE???

Influenza A.H1N1

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We regretfully would like to inform you that we will be closing the school effective FRIDAY 7th of August 2009 until TUESDAY 11th of August 2009 due to one suspected case of Influenza A.H1N1

PLEASE DO NOT PANIC !!!!

We are just taking necessary steps to clean the school to ensure that your child will be in a safe environment.

School will resume on the 12th which is a WEDNESDAY. The school will get in touch with all to update.

"WORKING TOGETHER FOR A SAFE AND HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT" LTHY ENVIRONMENT"

Theme 1, Semester 3: The Environment

One of the features of the environment that was given attention to under this theme was the volcano. For this reason, we performed an experiment with the children to create a "volcanic eruption" using the clay model volcano that was made by a few children from Whiz Kids 3 (Teacher Mizon's class), namely Irfan, Syazwan, Elsa and Mikhail. Here are some of the pictures we took during the experiment:








Parents can perform this activity too! It's a very simple experiment and parents can get the children involved in the process.
Here are the steps:

1. Parents may want to use a plastic cup or an empty mineral water bottle as the volcano.
2. First, pour in some baking soda or soda bicarbonate into a clean and dry bottle or plastic cup.
3. Add in some red or orange foo colouring so when it erupts, the liquid that pours out will look like lava.
4. Pour in as much vinegar as possible into the bottle or platic cup to create an eruption.
Tip: the more vinegar and soda you use, the bigger the eruption.

p/s: parents may want to line the bottle and table with dry cloth as this may get quite messy

There's been two confirmed HFMD cases in the pre-nursery class at Taska kinderland Kota Damansara.Classes have been closed for a week.

If all goes well with no further reported cases, we shall re - open the class on Wednesday 8th of July 2009 . During the closure, we will disinfect the classroom and the school.

Please be informed that this is a health measure taken with the ministry's guidelines. Therefore there will be no fee deduction.

Charity Concert or Concert??

The past one week has been a sombre one as many teachers and parents of Kinderland were ardent fans of Micheal Jackson. We have decided to choose 2 of his hits to perform during our upcoming year end concert.

So.....we came up with a brilliant ideato do another charity concert since the last charity concert was such a great sucess. Many parents have personally asked Teacher Lita when are we going to do it again.
